We are close to Lewes Railway Station so whether you're visiting
Glynebourne or coming to watch the football at The Amex or The Dripping Pan, pop in, we're 5 minutes away.

Seagulls!

We are open all year round from midday every day, and our kitchen is open 12-9pm Tuesday - Saturday, and Sunday 12-5pm, when we offer a Sunday roast or Sunday BBQ (depending on the time of year). Please note the kitchen is closed on Mondays.

We also take bookings for all sorts of celebrations, and special occasions. We are situated very close to The Grange so ideally placed to host your wedding party.

If you are a party of 6 or more we ask you to get in touch to book a table.

Lewes High Street is just a short 5 minute walk from us which features independent retailers and restaurants. The City of Brighton & Hove is just ten miles away too!

Cyclists and walkers are welcome at The Black Horse

Being situated at the foot of the South Downs we are very walker and Cyclist friendly, all we ask is you remove your muddy boots before entering the pub, we will gladly top up your water bottle for you.
